The Payroll Specialist performs a variety of complex functions in the preparation, processing, maintenance, verification and reconciliation of employee data, payroll/benefit records and payment. The key component of the role is to pay our employees correctly and on time with the focus on process improvement, consistency, and documentation. This position will report directly to Global Payroll Manager, Human Resources.



  • Maintain, input, review and together with our local service partner, PaySquare process the monthly payroll in India for over 300 employees ensuring data, payments and deductions are accurate and timely.
  • Partner closely with HR team members to coordinate employee compensation updates, new hires, separations, data changes, and approvals in Workday.
  • Data entry and verification to ensure compliance and data accuracy. Reviews net variances from previous month and reconciles payroll on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain strong processes that evidence payroll review and approval procedures are appropriate to ensure accurate payroll for audit.
  • Coordinate with finance, to gather approved sales commissions and bonus compensation and other variables on a monthly basis that will be input into workday.
  • Download and validate data from workday for payroll processing and highlight discrepancies early in the process.
  • Complete quarterly and year-end payroll reconciliations including Form 16. Work closely with our service partners and HR to ensure accuracy of data and manage uploads to appropriate regulatory bodies and government departments.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service to employees regarding payroll, tax or benefit queries.
  • Support HR with HR administration for the full employee Life cycle, including onboarding, validating documentation, HR processes, letters and workday input and reporting.
  • Provide HR administration support across the employee Life cycle as required



  • 2+ years of India payroll processing and validating data.
  • 1 to 2 years of Experience in TDS filing.
  • Strong Excel skills and reconciliation skills is required.
  • Bachelors or equivalent degree is required.
  • Workday experience an advantage.
  • Flexibility to work across time zones globally.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end HR operations, process flows and data management.
  • Strong communication skills with fluency in English language essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and changing environment.
