Global Compensation Director (Hybrid Opportunity)

Reporting Structure

This new individual contributor position will report directly to TraceLink’s VP, Human Resources, and partner closely with the CEO, Chief People Officer, and Finance Team.

Role & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with managers and key stakeholder groups, including Talent Acquisition, business partners and leaders, to provide strategic compensation consulting and coaching at point of new hire, new position evaluations, salary grade and job levels, transfers, promotion, and annual salary review cycle, to positively impact the motivation, development, and retention of talent.
• Partner with business leaders to develop an understanding of their organizations to proactively interpret, communicate, and educate internal partners on total rewards philosophy, policy, and practices, ensuring all compensation programs are administered fairly and consistently.
• Maintain an understanding of the business strategy and priorities, and support the design, administration and delivery of compensation plans to ensure competitive positioning and cost effectiveness in order to attract, retain and reward TraceLinkers.
• Monitor the competitiveness of our current compensation through annual survey participation and continuous benchmarking of roles within the global markets in which we compete for talent and partnering with our external compensation consultant to review industry trends and practices.
• Provide quarterly compensation analysis and reports for the Compensation Committee, partnering with the CPO and Chair to develop and implement competitive, industry-specific executive compensation strategies.
• Develop, maintain, and administer variable pay programs aimed at recognizing performance and achieving the right balance of fixed and variable compensation.
• Ensure all salary ranges are reviewed and refreshed as necessary and new roles are market priced to slot into appropriate ranges, and apply geographic differentials to recognize cost of labor variation by location
• Assist with the development, evolution, and education of the TraceLink Equity Program, including new equity vehicles (e.g. RSUs, stock purchase plan, etc.) to ensure it remains marketable and competitive to attract and retain top talent.
• Provide reporting and analysis to monitor for consistency, gap to market, and adherence to budget
• Assist with ad-hoc compensation requests, including various pay and bonus programs across TraceLink to ensure they are applied equitably and meet the ever-changing business requirements.

What You'll Need

• 10+ years of progressive experience in compensation and equity
• Compensation certification is a plus; not required
• Experience prepping for quarterly Compensation Committee meeting
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Working knowledge of HCM software (Workday a plus) and data reporting and analysis
• Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, and demonstrated advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, and advanced formulas)
• Subject matter expert in compensation principles, practices, and analysis
• Excellent written and presentation skills
• Strong organizational, communication, presentation, consulting and influencing skills!
