Tracelink is looking to hire a QA Team Lead to manage the everyday responsibilities on our Life Sciences suite of products. To do so, we need team members that are motivated, creative, questioning and driven to push conventional boundaries.   • Responsible for directing the day-to-day activities for QA engineers
  • Responsible for training, planning, assigning work to the team
  • Interact with product, project and engineering management to ensure timely project completions
  • Build tooling for automated testing of the TraceLink’s applications. This tooling will need to programmatically interface with the TraceLink application using a variety of B2B messaging protocols as well as both REST-based and SOAP-based web services
  • Provide architectural input into the test automation infrastructure
  • Create testing tools that can be configured and used by non-developers
  • Create testing tools that can simulate real-world transaction volumes involving potentially millions of transactions per day
  • Provide high-level analysis to apply appropriate technologies and architecture to solve conceptual problems
  • Research and remain informed of new technology and tools, and how such technologies could be applied at TraceLink
  • Work closely with engineers building the core TraceLink product to ensure that testability concerns are factored into the design of the product.

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience of leading teams
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience with Agile software development processes
  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years recent experience working in a test automation engineering role involving programmatic interaction with a system under test (as opposed to and/or in addition to UI automation work)
  • Should be detail oriented and organized with the ability to track multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Recent experience using Java, Eclipse, Ant or Maven, Unix, and an automated unit test framework such as TestNG or JUnit
  • Experience in developing against web-services and Web-based APIs
  • Recent experience developing and executing formal test plans, data sets and test configurations for assigned feature areas
  • Experience testing web-based enterprise-class business applications
  • Ability to write clearly and concisely
  • Superior written and oral communication skills

 

Helpful Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in testing cloud-based applications on platforms such as AWS
  • Experience in healthcare, desired, with a focus on the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience with microservice based testing using such tools as karate
  • Experience programming in a functional language (Scala, Ruby, etc.)
