Overview

 

TraceLink is seeking skilled software engineers to join our growing Message Processing Framework (MPF) team.  MPF is the backbone of the Opus platform, allowing Application Developers and Customers the ability to configure and deploy message pipelines.  Learn more about Opus here: https://www.tracelink.com/opus-platform

 

MPF is responsible for sending over 100 million messages every day!  The MPF team is a highly collaborative group that utilizes cutting edge cloud-based software engineering technologies to drive solutions.  TraceLink's MPF team is an integral part of our pharmaceutical supply chain management services.  Ultimately, this service is poised to help solve some of the biggest challenges in the pharmaceutical industry including the mitigation of drug shortages and ensuring drug quality.

Responsibilities

 

  • Assisting with architectural design with emphasis on performance and scalability
  • Writing enterprise quality code and unit tests
  • Mentoring junior engineers
  • Code reviewing your peers
  • Coordinating across teams for cross-team projects
  • Participating in regular strategy and planning meetings

 

Demonstrated interest in complex engineering solutions such as Data Streaming, Big Data, Scalability, Data Lake

Excellent quantitative and problem-solving skills

Strong communication skills

Desire to work in a team environment

Qualifications

 

  • Expertise with Java (8+ years) preferred but other OOP languages will be considered
  • Experience with Kafka or similar MQ (RabbiMQ/ IBM MQ)
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud hosting
  • RocksDB or similar experience with a NoSQL or relational database

Useful technical skills/exposure:

  • Experience with Reactive framework (RxJava or similar)
  • JavaScript
  • Python
  • Agile
  • Jira
  • Git
