The Opportunity:

TraceLink is seeking a full-time, experienced Product Manager to focus on the next generation user interface system for our Platform. TraceLink is building an industry-leading platform focused on Pharma. The ability to create a user interface without coding (aka No code, low code) is a key part of this platform.

Platform product Managers are responsible for working with cross-functional teams and customers, managing products from cradle to grave, justifying new product/feature development investments, determining and documenting new product requirements, and facilitating product rollout. If you’re self-motivated, intellectually curious, and motivated by designing and developing innovative products for global organizations, you could be a good fit for our team.

The Team: 

The experiences team enables application & solution providers to develop user interfaces via no code / low code capabilities. The team is responsible for keeping a healthy set of User Interface components that can be used to develop a wide range of user experiences from information consumption (e.g. enterprise data forms) to analytical experiences (e.g. dashboards).

The Position: 

You are responsible for envisioning current & future needs for user interface development. This starts from internal developers and extends to external developers. Create & maintain a healthy road map of (a) user interface (no code) component library (b) user interface no-code features such as templates, layouts, etc.

You are also responsible to make sure that these components are general-purpose for an organic user interface development. 

This UI library is not just for internal development for any citizen developers can develop a full GUI using this library. In addition, you are also responsible for owning the widget roadmaps for dashboards.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the voice of the customer (internal and external) for the product
  • Gather requirements from internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to synthesize information across all products by working cross-functionally with other product managers and subject matter experts to synthesize business functional requirements to possible UI component needs
  • Ability to identify user interface patterns and develop reusable user interface components that can be used across the platform user interfaces
  • Envision visual & information architecture for user interface components
  • Work with the UX team to develop wireframes and mockups and garner feedback on the design
  • Ability to work on user interface problems across use cases such as data visualization, data entry, enterprise information access, collaboration
  • Work closely with UX to identify and define common UI components. Define requirements and specifications for UI components. 
  • Manage the UI components roadmap, refining feature ideas, and maintaining existing features to drive business growth goals. 
  • Create and document product requirements & specifications and use cases. Write detailed specifications for components
  • Present product ideas and user interface designs to internal stakeholders and customers to garner feedback
  • Author and prioritize user stories for product features and functions
  • Work closely with Development and QA to resolve issues throughout the development lifecycle
  • Review and accept user stories upon completion of development and testing
  • Perform competitive analysis

Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager 
  • 5+ years of product management experience working on products with user interface focus on a professional software team for web and mobile apps
  • Experience with specifying and delivering web and mobile applications
  • Designed applications with a user interface that involves complex user flow, presenting a large set of data in an enterprise application setting
  • Software company experience where SaaS and/or cloud deployment environments are used
  • Experience using Jira & Agile methodologies
  • Good understanding of UX principles

 Desirable areas:

  • Exposure/understanding of Business Intelligence tools, such as Tableau or Looker is preferable
  • Experiences with developing reusable user interface or user interface components
  • Understanding of web user interface technologies (CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular etc.)
  • Experience with enterprise software
  • Experience with /exposure to low-code/no-code is highly desirable, even if this is in areas such as RPA
