The Opportunity:

TraceLink is seeking a full-time, experienced Product Manager to shape our Application Development environment. TraceLink is building an industry-leading platform. The ability to develop headless Apps with API-centric focus & allowing external developers to develop such apps is a key part of this platform.

Platform product Managers are responsible for working with cross-functional teams and customers, managing products from cradle to grave, justifying new product/feature development investments, determining and documenting new product requirements, and facilitating product rollout. If you’re self-motivated, intellectually curious and motivated by designing and developing innovative products for global organizations, you could be a good fit for our team.

The Position: 

You are responsible to envision current & future needs for the application development environment. This starts from internal developers and extends to external development partners. You along with our architects provide a comprehensive “application development environment” where users can develop API-centric applications using Javascript/Java. You would envision features starting from development, source control, deployment, build and extend to provide a user interface that makes the development process as efficient as possible.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the voice of the customer (internal and external) for the product
  • Gather requirements from internal and external stakeholders
  • Interact with Operations, Platform, and Application Teams to gather requirements and ensure dependencies are well understood
  • Ability to synthesize information across all products by working cross-functionally with other product managers and subject matter experts
  • Ability to closely collaborate with Architects & ability to engage in architectural conversations & decisions 
  • Ability to converse with end-users ( developers in this case ) and envision product needs
  • Create and document product requirements & specifications and use cases. 
  • Present product ideas and user interface designs to internal stakeholders and customers to garner feedback
  • Author and prioritize user stories for product features and functions
  • Work closely with Development and QA to resolve issues throughout the development lifecycle
  • Review and accept user stories upon completion of development and testing
  • Present product ideas and user interface designs to customers to garner feedback
  • Participate in scheduling, coordinating, and planning product development releases with Development and QA
  • Work closely with Development and QA to resolve issues throughout the development lifecycle
  • Participate in bug triage and prioritization
  • Support the release process
  • Provide status updates on the Product Release efforts
  • Serve as product liaison to Developer Partnership organization
  • Perform competitive analysis

Skills and Requirements:

  • Technical degree (engineering and/or computer science) or relevant experience with API product development
  • 5+ years of product management experience working on products that directly/indirectly enabled application development
  • Demonstrated experience in developing user stories, specifications
  • Software company experience where SaaS and/or cloud deployment environments are used
  • Experience using Jira & Agile methodologies
  • Good understanding of application development lifecycle (coding, debugging, deploying etc)

 Desirable areas:

  • Experience in Low Code Application Development
  • Experience with java/java script development environments or IDE
  • Experience with enterprise software
  • Experience with /exposure to low-code/no-code is highly desirable, even if this is in areas such as RPA
  • Experience/exposure to Kubernetes, application deployment
  • Experience building or specifying platform systems such as SAP, Oracle, MatrixOne, Enovia, Pegasystems, Force.com, or SharePoint
  • Knowledge of AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms
