Information Architect

TraceLink is seeking a full-time, experienced Information Architect to join our team, helping design and build an information architecture and data models in support of an innovative user experience and network navigation application on our Opus Digital Network Platform. We need innovators and game changers who are ready to change how global life sciences and healthcare supply chains operate and serve patients.

Function and Role

The Information Architect will be a key member of the team at TraceLink which will completely revolutionize how people learn, collaborate, and work on the global TraceLink Network. The Information Architect will be a noted leader in the organization, navigation, search of, and engagement with diverse, continually evolving content and data on a fast-growing network. You excel in semantic authoring discussions and data model development, and in collaborating with development teams to translate them into a world-class information architecture on our platform. You know how to turn raw data into actionable information and making data-driven, customer-centric decisions to define scalable navigation and taxonomy solutions that lead to increased discoverability and customer engagement.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Sets clear architectural direction through high level information architecture designs informed by user research, content/data analysis, business goals, and cross-functional stakeholder design reviews
• Works closely with Product Management, Engineering, and other teams to establish the information architecture and solution implementation patterns for applications and analytic solutions
• Develops and implements information architecture designs that leverage user personas, content and digital assets, individual member engagement / session management, and network-wide activity patterns
• Defines the requirements for high-level information repositories and data flows that will meet the needs of the business strategy and digital platform
• Provides deep expertise in network data and information management methods
• Provides strategic thinking and detailed solution roadmaps while driving architectural recommendations for information and analytic solutions
• Develops clear business and functional requirements
• Continually evaluates traffic patterns, user outcomes, and other quantitative data to revise and optimize information architecture designs
• Researches, adopts and communicates new information and data architecture concepts, ideas, techniques, technologies, and best practices
• Works closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders to build relationships and to ensure timely completion of deliverables

Skills and Experience

• BA/MS degree or equivalent in computer science, data science, information technology, or related engineering disciplines
• 7+ years experience with information architecture design/development, business intelligence, semantic modeling, or related experience, preferably for large scale or fast growing e-commerce, social networking, or news/information sites
• Hands-on experience building and managing complex content taxonomies and metadata repositories
• Understanding of the challenges of applying structured techniques (data modeling) to less-structured sources
• Systems integration understanding, including API design, web architectures, and integration with CMS/DXP systems, data repositories and networks
• Experience working with recommendation engines and AI learning desired
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams desired
• Experience designing solutions on or integrating to the Drupal platform is highly desired
• Demonstrated ability in communicating with tech and business teams
• Highly motivated, business focused, and flexible – demonstrating abilities to execute on comprehensive plans and show results with attention to detail
• Strong teams skills with demonstrated enthusiasm and ability to work in highly cross-functional, globally diverse organizations
