    Application Services (Technical) Product Manager

    TraceLink is seeking a full-time, experienced Product Manager to focus on expanding our cloud-based platform and suite of B2B data exchange applications. Product Managers are responsible for working with cross-functional teams and customers, managing products from cradle to grave, justifying new product development investments, determining and documenting new product requirements, and facilitating product rollout. If you’re self-motivated, intellectually curious and motivated by designing and developing innovative products for global organizations, you could be a good fit for our team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Serve as the voice of the customer (internal and external) for the product
    • Gather requirements from internal and external stakeholders
    • Interact with Operations, Platform, and Application Teams to gather requirements and ensure dependencies are well understood
    • Create and document product requirements and use cases
    • Define product features and functions, and work closely with User Experience team on product UI design mockups
    • Present product ideas and user interface designs to customers to garner feedback
    • Conduct design reviews of use cases and user interface designs with Development, QA, Professional Services and other internal stakeholders
    • Work closely with architects to understand system tradeoffs for various approaches
    • Facilitate discussions around design and implementation approaches to ensure the best approach is selected that meets the requirements and also stays aligned with company direction and timelines
    • Author and prioritize user stories for product features and functions
    • Work closely with architects to define common application micro-services to be used on the next generation platform
    • Participate in scheduling, coordinating and planning product development releases with Development and QA
    • Work closely with Development and QA to resolve issues throughout the development lifecycle
    • Participate in bug triage and prioritization
    • Review and accept user stories upon completion of development and testing
    • Support the release process
    • Provide status updates on the Product Release efforts
    • Serve as product expert; provide secondary support to Sales and Professional Services
    • Work with Marketing to contribute to creation of marketing materials and messaging
    • Provide demos, presentations, support analyst briefings
    • Perform competitive analyses
    • Up to 10% travel required

    Skills and Requirements:

    • Technical degree (engineering and/or computer science)
    • 5+ years of experience as a product manager or business analyst
    • Software company experience where SaaS and/or cloud deployment environments are used
    • Knowledge of SOAP and REST web service APIs and their application
    • Knowledge of micro-services and their application

     

    Desirable areas:

    • Experience with enterprise software: ERP, PLM, Workflow Systems, Document Management Systems
    • Experience building or specifying platform systems such as SAP, Oracle, MatrixOne, Enovia, PegaSystems, Force.com, or SharePoint
    • Knowledge of AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms
    • Implementation or requirements definition experience with enterprise software
