    The Opportunity:

    TraceLink is seeking a full-time, experienced UX Product Manager to focus on the next generation user interface and navigation for our portfolio of products. This person will be responsible for creating an information driven user experience across all TraceLink applications that provides an integrated view across products, trade partners, and supply chain processes. Product Managers are responsible for working with cross-functional teams and customers, managing products from cradle to grave, justifying new product development investments, determining and documenting new product requirements, and facilitating product rollout.     Responsibilities:

    • Ability to synthesize information across all products by working with product managers and other subject matter experts to create an information driven user navigation experience
    • Produce information structure, user scenarios, storyboard, data models, work- and data-flow, sitemaps, and navigational hierarchies
    • Envision architectural scheme, information structure and features, functionality, and user-interface design
    • Ability to take blank sheet of paper with regard to the entire navigation experience of TraceLink from its website where unauthenticated users may visit to purpose built enterprise applications used to interact and exchange data with supply chain partners
    • Work with the UX team to develop wireframes and mockups to demonstrate a new navigation paradigm and garner feedback on the design
    • Prepare paper and interactive prototypes and/or mockups, including page layout and navigational elements
    • Ability to blend user actions, charts and graphs, collaboration tools, alerts and other information for a user to navigate in their usage of the system based on the capabilities and data that a particular user can access
    • Work with focus groups and conduct creative meetings
    • Coordinate with engineering and design teams to integrate site concept, visual design, writing, interface, and navigational structure
    • Work closely with data scientists to understand how data can be retrieved from the data lake in order to arrive at efficient and usable navigation approaches
    • Given a business problem that can be solved by applying analytic techniques to a vast data lake of information, select the correct visual representation for users to navigate this information efficiently
    • Ability to combine different visual elements for users with vastly different needs into a coherent experience based on their persona and combination of role assignments
    • Using available technologies select and apply visualization elements based on the type of information available for a given user.
    • Identify new visual technologies to be incorporated into the framework when the existing toolset is lacking
    • Work to understand and classify data insights and alerts that are available such that they can be packaged and coherently displayed alongside other data elements
    • Create user stories and technical specifications to document what is to be built by engineering
    • Support the Engineering, Technical Publications, and Training teams in the development of their deliverables.
    • Ability to define and apply rules for when to use tables, charts, graphs, and other presentation methods to establish repeatable design patterns
    • Ability to apply the correct visualization approach to problems that include data sets with varying amounts of data
    • Create and document product requirements and use cases
    • Present product ideas and user interface designs to internal stakeholders and customers to garner feedback
    • Author and prioritize user stories for product features and functions
    • Work closely with Development and QA to resolve issues throughout the development lifecycle
    • Work closely with architects to define user interface navigation approach
    • Review and accept user stories upon completion of development and testing
    • Looking for a UX Product Manager to own the UX experience for TraceLink’s digital supply chain platform
    • Up to 20% travel required

    Skills and Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree, 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager involving visualization of data
    • 5+ years of product management experience working on UX on a professional software team for web and mobile apps
    • Exposure to Supply Chain required, Pharmaceutical desired
    • Experience with Business Intelligence tools, such as Tableau or Looker
    • Experience with presenting big data to end users for consumption
    • Software company experience where SaaS and/or cloud deployment environments are used
    • Experience with specifying and delivering web and mobile applications

     

    Desirable areas:

    • Understanding of web user interface technologies (CSS, JavaScript, etc.)
    • Experience with enterprise software
