    Data Scientist, Supply Chain

    TraceLink is seeking a full-time Data Scientist who can drive research and development using Statistical and Machine Learning models to create analytics-based applications that enable our customers to measure, benchmark, optimize and ultimately recommend courses of action. This role is in the Product Management organization working alongside a talented group of architects and engineers to build a portfolio of analytics-based applications. The ideal candidate will have deep supply chain experience and the ability to apply it to our customers’ vast data exchange networks to uncover solutions that are unmatched in the industry.     Responsibilities:


    • Work with business stakeholders and product managers to translate product requirements into data analytics activities
    • Research, develop, and validate analytics capabilities to generate predictions, recommendations, alerts, and other insights
    • Conduct statistical analysis tasks to discover trends and correlations in the data
    • Use analytical models and statistical analysis techniques to determine the appropriate datasets needed for each solution area
    • Work closely with customers to discover business impact opportunities based on key persona use cases and industry trends, then apply this information to define actionable solutions based on data availability
    • Work with TraceLink customers to identify enterprise data sources to enrich TraceLink solutions
    • Identify 3rd party datasets that can augment existing data to deliver additional solutions

    • Work with the development team members to identify and organize datasets into meaningful collections that can be individually priced
    • Work with architects and data engineers to define approaches and tooling needed to gather and clean customer data
    • Work with architects, data and QA engineers to develop processes, monitoring, and testing automation frameworks to ensure data and analytics quality
    • Work with product managers, architects and engineers on the definition and delivery of analytical insights that can be packaged into product features
    • Document, communicate, and educate customers on data-driven product capabilities

    Skills and Requirements:

    • 3+ years of hands-on experience, ideally in a high growth software development environment
    • Experience developing data-driven products
    • Engineering skills to manipulate, transform, visualize structured and unstructured data
    • Experience in supply chain
    • A PhD or Master’s Degree in Operations Research, Applied Statistics, Data Mining, Machine Learning or a related quantitative discipline
    • Experience with SQL databases, NoSQL, and Hadoop environments
    • Experience with Business Intelligence tools, such as Tableau or Looker
    • Experience in the use of statistical analysis and machine learning tools, packages and languages such as Python scikit, R, SAS, Spark MLlib or TensorFlow
