    TraceLink is working on taking our container based microservice platform to the next level.  And are in need of someone to help lead the way, to a full Platform as a Service offering.   We are looking for a Cloud Operations Developer with experience working in a large scale Platform as a Service environment.  Who excels at innovative and collaborative projects.  And who can bring new technologies from theory to production quickly and reliably.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Development and maintenance of tools and processes used to support the operation, deployment and management of TraceLink’s Life Sciences Cloud Platform.
    • Assist with the monitoring, reporting and management of TraceLink’s cloud platform. This includes system health, security, performance, and metrics.
    • Communicate with all parts of the TraceLink organization, in both verbal and written capacity.
    • Work closely with management and other departments to assist planning, implementation, documentation, management, troubleshooting, and incremental improvement of processes as they relate to the department and the rest of the company.

    Job Requirements:

    • Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent.
    • 5+ years experience with Linux based development, with a focus on operations and deployment.
    • Experience with Python and agile development methodologies.
    • Experience interacting with REST APIs and standard data formats such as JSON and YAML.
    • Experience working with data focused applications and data storage.
    • Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work both closely with a team and on independent projects.

     

    Preferred Skills and Experience:

    • Experience developing with cloud computing APIs and tools, such as
      Python Boto and CloudFormation.
    • Experience with monitoring and reporting tools such as Nagios, Logstash, and Cloudwatch.
    • Experience with distributed computing and cluster environments, such as Hadoop and Elasticsearch.
    • Strong knowledge of database and data storage systems, including Postgres, Redis, MongoDB.
    • Expereince with a wide range of Amazon AWS services. Including basic services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and Route53.  As well as more advanced offerings such as lambda, Redshift, CloudSearch and Kenisis.
