    Since its launch in 2009, TraceLink has developed and deployed the market’s leading suite of serialization solutions for tracking and tracing the $650 billion global supply of prescription medicines. Today, those solutions are being utilized by a digital information sharing network of more than 265,000 pharmaceutical companies, wholesale distributors, hospitals, and pharmacies to ensure that patients are protected from the millions of illicit, adulterated, and counterfeit drug products that enter the global pharmaceutical supply chain each year.

     

    As a core component of its next stage of aggressive growth, TraceLink is hiring a Director of Corporate Development to lead the execution of a range of M&A, investment, financing and strategic planning activities. This position, reporting directly to TraceLink’s Senior Vice President of Business Management, will be responsible for conducting critical industry analysis, evaluating and leading strategic acquisition efforts, and shaping the development and execution of corporate growth strategies.

    • Strategic Planning: Create and lead TraceLink’s corporate development program, including the formalization of a repeatable and scalable model for identifying, engaging, and conducting M&A processes which result in the successful integration of external assets into TraceLink’s core solution platform; contribute to and ensure that the corporate development strategy is integrated with TraceLink’s annual strategic planning process
    • Corporate Development: Research, identify, analyze, and form investment theses for potential strategic acquisition opportunities, partnerships, or joint ventures; lead deal development and negotiation processes, including the structuring of transactions to align with long-term strategy; build external networks with various advisors and industry leaders
    • Financial Analysis: Create and utilize various financial and/or economic models (e.g., valuation, financial projections, etc.) to support strategic decision-making and M&A transactions, evaluate deal structures, and conduct due diligence by applying critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and data analysis
    • Strategic Research: Conduct market research, competitive landscape assessments, and company/product benchmarking analyses through a variety of sources, including subject matter expert interviews, industry reports, product literature, insights from conferences/webinars, etc.
    • Discussion Materials: Synthesize research findings, data, and industry analysis into comprehensive strategic recommendations, and prepare executive-level presentation materials for discussion with TraceLink’s senior management team and Board of Directors
    • Project Management & Deal Execution: Lead due diligence activities and drive deal teams, including both internal teams and external advisors (investment banks, law firms, and accounting firms) to evaluate and complete transactions. Formulate and lead integration plans, timelines and deliverables; track the success of acquisitions against goals; form communication strategies for external and internal distribution to key stakeholders

    • Bachelor’s Degree in business, economics, finance, engineering, or a related discipline; MBA preferred
    • 6-10 years of M&A and corporate development experience with a focus on high-tech, preferably within the enterprise SaaS category
    • 10+ years of experience, in aggregate, across investment banking, corporate development, venture capital, quantitative analysis, and/or management consulting
    • Experience leading large project teams, including internal and external resources
    • Experience in financial modeling, analysis and research in a transaction-related environment
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative team-oriented environment
    • Proven experience in balancing multiple projects and priorities with sound judgement
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Extreme attention to detail
