Tracelink is seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) who has come up through the Linux Systems Administrator ranks to join the Cloud Operations team supporting Tracelink’s Life Sciences Cloud product.  The DBA will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Tracelink’s product databases running in Amazon Web Services (AWS) Relational Database Services (RDS) and Data Warehouse (Redshift).  These databases are primarily Postgres, although MySQL support is required as well.  The DBA will monitor and maintain both the customer-facing and non-customer-facing RDBMSs supporting 24x7 operation, including sizing, tuning, and backup/restore activities.  The DBA will also assist the application development team with efficient database design and SQL query tuning, as required.  Additionally, when not actively engaged in DBA activities, the DBA may be asked to assist with Linux System Administration tasks/projects and will participate in the Cloud Operations team on-call rotation.
